Pedometer Reviews

When you are starting a weight loss program you will quickly learn that one of the most important things you can do is to increase your cardio exercise. Most fitness experts recommend a minimum of 10,000 steps per day. To track all those steps you need to use a digital pedometer.

It is simply too easy to get derailed on your fitness plan if you don’t track your steps every day, in my opinion. So, get yourself a great digital pedometer and kick butt on losing that weight!

What should you look for in a digital pedometer? Well I believe the most important aspect is to find a review done by someone who is actually using the product. My Gold medal winning product reviews are always products that work for me and that I use daily in my battle of the bulge.

Other important aspects are accuracy, battery life, advanced features like computer integration and cost.

I hope you find this pedometer review helpful in finding the perfect digital pedometer for your needs.

Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer

Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer

A few months after I began my weight loss journey I decided it was time to invest in a pedometer to track my daily steps and so I bought the Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer. This was my first experience with a digital pedometer and I was very impressed.

One of the best features of this pedometer is that it comes with software from Omron called Advanced Omron Health Management Software, which means you can quickly and easily download your step data to your computer. Very cool!

Thanks to its unique dual sensor technology this pedometer can be carried in your pocket or bag. Its features include a large display, clock, detachable belt holder and security strap.

This scale earns my personal recommendation - Gold medal winner.

Omron HJ-112 Digital Premium Pedometer

Omron HJ-112 Digital Premium Pedometer

The Omron HJ-112 Digital Premium Pedometer is a lower cost option than the HJ-720ITC, but that doesn’t mean it still isn’t a great option.

This digital pedometer features an easy-to-read LCD display, detachable belt holder and security strap. Like the HJ-720ITC, it supports being able to carry the pedometer in your pocket or in a bag.

One thing this pedometer does not include is the Advanced Health Management Software of the HJ-720ITC. If you don’t want to track your stats on your computer then this pedometer may suffice.

If you would like to save a few bucks from the HJ-720ITC then I think this would be a good pick for you.

Oregon Scientific Digital Talking Pedometer with FM Radio

Of the three award-winning digital pedometers, the Oregon Scientific Digital Talking Pedometer with FM Radio is the most unique, being that it is a talking pedometer!.

Not only does this pedometer announce your walking stats through the built in headphone jack but it also plays FM radio stations through the same headphones. If you don’t already have an MP3 player this would be a great selection.

Counts up to 99,999 steps, which should be enough for anyone! Includes sport ear-bud headphones & 2 batteries
