If you’re in a bad mood or overly stressed out by the demands of work or life in general, it’s time to take a dip in the pool. A few laps in the pool or a dip in the ocean can wash your cares away for a time. Concentrate on the soothing energy of the water. Swimming can help you to focus your mind and let go of worries or burdens. You can channel your thoughts to the positives of life. Everyone needs a chance to recharge and a vigorous swim is the perfect mind/body workout.

In order to lose weight from swimming you need workout regularly. Add a swim routine to a diet and exercise plan properly. It all depends on how much weight you want to lose or maintain because swimming adds muscle. You’re exercising your entire body and developing muscle mass in your arms and legs that can add a few extra pounds. Take into account what you eat too. High protein foods will give you the energy to exercise in the pool but not for long stretches of time. Pay close attention to what you eat if you want lose weight from swimming. You may achieve a more toned body, but pounds may not come off easily.
