The right smoothie diet can help you lose weight and even maintain a flat belly. For the flat-belly diet, what you need are smoothie-perfect monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) that aid in fighting the accumulation of unsightly belly fat. MUFAs are found in avocados, olives, and nuts.
To use smoothies as your weight-loss aids, try the following tips.
- Smoothies must serve as your breakfast and as substitutes for your snacks. Drink fruit smoothies. The main ingredients must be fresh or frozen whole fruits, not something that come from a pre-made smoothie “fruit” mix. There is a huge difference between “fruit” flavored and whole fruit. The difference is evident on your waistline. If you need to go to work, blend your smoothie during breakfast time and store it inside a thermos flask to sip later. You can also make it the night before as smoothies last for up to twenty four hours.
- Skip the dairy. Dairy does nothing for your weight loss plans. It also does not combine properly with fruit juices and may lead to digestive problems.
- Go for a filling tall glass of green smoothie twice a day. Green smoothies are not your usual latest “buzzword” from raw foodists. They actually work. Think of them as practical ways to “eat” your greens. It may sound weird to blend vegetables and leafy greens, but green smoothies are delicious and appetizing due to the vibrant green color. You get your fill of vitamins, minerals, and fiber from the blended ingredients. A banana-mango-spinach smoothie combination is so delicious that you can drink it every day. Try any fruit combination of your choice. Green smoothies are not only good for weight loss; they provide nutritional support and immune system support, maintain a healthy digestive system, and with regular intake, add a special “glow” to your skin and hair.
