I’m really pushing to have a good week this week and to help support me in that mission I fully intend to once again document all of my meals for the week. I find it so much less likely to binge when I know I am forcing myself to snap pictures of everything I eat.
The last couple of weeks I have managed to avoid eating fast food, and my goal for this week is to once again avoid doing so - and if I do find myself at a McDonald’s or Burger King to make good decisions. You’ll see I did eat out at a couple of restaurants today, and while not perfect I do feel OK about my decisions - however if my week goes as planned I envision eating out only one more time total.
Here’s how I did today:

I went a little lighter than normal for breakfast today, with a bowl of oatmeal with a tablespoon of chopped pecans and a half a can of grapefruit segments in a light syrup. If I recall from the can, that’s about 135 calories for the fruit. Banana for a late morning snack.
I had lunch at the cafeteria, a chef salad with fat free raspberry vinagerette dressing, a cup of chili, 4 saltine crackers and a sweetened tea. This meal has become my go-to meal if I’m in the office but didn’t pack a lunch, and while not perfect I think it’s OK - but I really should be able to drop the chili and the crackers. But it was MINUS 9 DEGREES this morning and I felt I needed a little hot chili.
I was fully planning to stop at the grocery store on my way home and make a big salad for dinner when my wife called and invited me to Buffalo Wild Wings with the kids to watch the first half of the Vikings game. Never like to turn down a little family time, so we met at the surprising sparsely populated restaurant. Perhaps people didn’t know the game started at 6:30? I had 8 boneless wings (really they are more like chicken nuggets), 4 with mango habanero and 4 with their new desert heat dry rub. I’ll stick to the mango habanero next time. A small side salad and some celery sticks. Just unsweetened iced tea to drink - no alcohol.
After dining at BWW I stopped at the grocery store and stocked up on some food for my meals this week, and then packed my bento box lunch for tomorrow, so I am set to get off to a good start,.
So how do you think I did? Click a star!
