Rate My Meals – 2010-12-03

Things didn’t totally fall apart for me today but it certainly wasn’t as good of a day as I would have liked. First of all, it is Friday, and I have a hard time finding anything wrong with Fridays. Except for 30 minute commutes home taking 80 because of snow. That sucked.

Started off by not doing a fifth straight day of strength training in the morning. Yes I could have done it tonight but I didn’t. Then I decided to not make oatmeal and just grab something from the office cafe - so that meant I missed a fifth straight day of oatmeal, which certainly would have been a record. In fact, I was so discombobulated today that I actually commented on another blog that I did in fact eat oatmeal five days in a row. Whoops, I lied. But four days is probably a record for me anyway.

I’m going to have a short weekend because I leave for Atlanta on Sunday. That will be interesting - I love southern food. But it can be bad for you. Real bad.

But that’s a story for next week, here’s how I did today:

Friday Meals

Breakfast was a banana-nut muffin. Lunch was an eggsalad wrap with lettuce, tomatoes, small amount of shredded cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, served with a side salad with a little blue cheese dressing. Two saltine crackers and a bottled ice tea. Banana for an afternoon snack.

For dinner I made a Healthy Choice pasta, that really wasn’t very good, a salad with chopped romaine hearts, carrots, pomegranate dressing and a giant sweet red pepper. I ate about half of the pepper. Glass of skim milk.

So how do you think I did? Click a star!

Your meals look good, but I wouldn’t be able to do the banana nut muffin….

Yeah, I know what you mean Ron. I do know they aren’t the best for you, however if I think of them as an occasional treat I’ll be OK. Sure beats 2 sausage egg mcmuffins and a hash brown!
