Rate My Meals – 2010-12-02

I managed my fourth day in a row of doing strength training this morning, which I am very happy with. Unfortunately that streak will be ending since my son is having a friend sleep over tonight - our workout room is right across from where they will be sleeping and 5:00am workouts are just not conducive with sleeping teenagers. I think I’ll try to sneak in some pushups and situps upstairs instead.

I was lazy and didn’t make a bento box lunch last night or this morning, so I went into the day knowing I was going to go to the cafeteria for lunch. I didn’t do terrible but know I could have done better.

Here’s how I did today:

Thursday Meals

Breakfast was oatmeal with pomegranate seeds and blackberries, a slice of toast with peanut butter, a yogurt and 6 oz of spicy hot V8.

Lunch was a pre-made chef salad with blue cheesing dressing, a cup of chili, a couple of saltine crackers and a bottled ice tea. In the morning I had a banana for a snack and in the afternoon I had a protein bar.

My wife made pot roast for dinner so I had a small portion of pot toast, a few potatoes and carrots and then piled a ton of romaine hearts on my plate, topped with cold peas and a little ranch dressing, washed down with 12oz of skim milk. A small ramekin of pomegranate seeds, blackberries and raspberries for dessert.

I’m hungry as I write this but I’m going to bed so I will be OK.
