Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel

September 28, 2010

Disclaimer: Combe Inc. sent me this product sample to review, however I am under no obligation to do so nor to make the review positive. This review reflects my personal opinion about this product.

I received this product sample months ago and it has been sitting in my drawer unopened. Not because I had any concerns about the product, but simply because I haven’t been doing the exercise for which I had to worry about chafing. Yes, you heard me: chafing. I’m a 44 year old guy now worried about what happens when his thighs rub together. That sucks! Still, it’s the reality those of us in the supersized set have to face.

So yesterday the stars aligned because when I came home I asked my wife if she wanted to walk around the lake, which is a little over 4 miles. I was going to go regardless of her answer because I’m trying to get serious about this, but of course I was happy when she said yes. It also meant I didn’t have to hold the dog. :-)

So I strapped on my heart rate monitor and remembered the Lanacane anti-chafing gel that I had been sent. A quick application between the thighs and I was ready for my walk. The product package describes Lanacane as being non-greasy and silky feeling and I would concur with that assessment. The extra on my fingers seemed to dry off very quickly. Half way into the walk I realized I was not having any chafing discomfort and by the end of it I was still chafe-free, which would not have been the case had I not applied the Lanacane anti-chafing gel.

All in all I was happy with the product and will be using it again the next time I take that walk, which will hopefully be tonight.

If you want to try Lanacane for yourself you can get a free sample here.
