I can’t believe how fast time has flown this spring. I knew I had taken a little break with taking pictures of my meals and writing about what I eat, but now I see it has been almost two months since my last such post. Crazy! What I have discovered is that I certainly eat more when I don’t take the discipline to document what I eat. Fast food becomes so much easier to justify, as do seconds and even thirds.
So I’m trying to get back into the habit of pulling the cell phone camera out whenever I eat.

I think I did really well for breakfast, although I did need to snack on my banana a little earlier in the day than normal so I think I may not have eaten enough at breakfast, which was a bowl of oatmeal with some blueberries and crushed walnuts added to it, along with a splash of milk. Also had a yogurt and an orange, although because the orange was a little old I only ended up sucking some juice out of each piece rather than eating the whole thing.
Lunch was a Subway sub made with good decisions like mustard instead of mayo, no cheese and no oil. Foot long turkey on whole wheat, spicy mustard, lettuce, tomato, black olives, jalapenos, vinegar and lots of salt and pepper. I was planning to try to get by on only a 6 inch sub but I really was hungry so I went for the foot long. Next time I’ll try to force myself to go for the smaller sandwich, I think that would be better although I am not to worried about the bigger sandwich when I make it well. Instead of chips I had yogurt and that’s a diet coke.
For dinner I made a turkey sandwich with mustard and english cucumber, a bowl of light maryland style crab soup (out of a can) and a handful of triscuits. More crackers than I should have. The roll I used for the sandwich was small but a little bigger than shown in the picture - I took a few bites before remembering I needed to get out the camera. Should have drunk more water throughout the day although it wasn’t bad.
