Another long day today - up at 4:30, home at 7:30 with 6 hours of driving in between. I need to get to bed so I’m being lazy and not logging in The Daily Plate but I know I didn’t eat enough and two fast food items, no matter how good I try to make them, is not good.

However, I do have something really positive to share. On the way home I stopped at McDonald’s and ordered a #9, which means that not only did I get the sandwich but I also got the fries (I got pop too but I don’t document that because I always get diet). After I got through paying and getting the food I pulled to the side to take a picture and I realized I had a choice to make - take a picture of those terrible fries I was about to eat, eat the fries but don’t take the picture, or throw the stupid things out. I chose to throw them out. Thank you camera log.

It’s weird that I am not eating enough, that has certainly not been the trend. It’s just easier to not eat when I have to explain a picture.

Four square meals

Breakfast was pretty tasty this morning - 2 poached eggs with sriracha on top of a dry slice of english muffin bread, a whole avocado and a cup of fresh pineapple (chopped up the last pineapple tonight and didn’t even eat a bite of a single piece, including the one that feel on the floor).

Lunch was on the run, eaten at my desk. Subway 12″ Turkey with no cheese, spicy mustard, lettuce, extra tomatoes, jalapenos, vinegar and salt and pepper. Served with apple slices instead of chips. Really tasted good and I was hungry so it hit the spot.

Snack was when I got to my car, that’s a banana if you didn’t figure it out!

Dinner was McDonald’s Premium Grilled Chicken sandwich, this time purchased with no mayo. I’m starting to like these and they aren’t that bad for you.

Couple pieces of gum, not enough water.

So how do you think I did? Click a star!

Nice meal selection for the day! Particularly like the avocado, which I’ve only recently added to my eating plans. Still trying to figure out ways to make use of this healthy food. Did you just scoop it out, or do something special with it?

Just scooped it out this time, with a little salt.

Fruits are always good. I eat a banana in the morning and a fruit smoothie (banana, skim milk, plain yogurt, and mixed berries or peaches w/agave nectar) after my workout at night. I like that you incorporate the fruits quite often. Great decision on the fries as well!

As always — more water:)

keep working at it - it’s hard with such a busy schedule. Good job.

I’m sure you could do better than McDonalds!
