Hey - what you did eat was pretty healthy. I don't know much info about the McD's sandwich though.

I'm not sure how formal your meetings are but it might be a good idea to make a small snack -- nuts, raisins, apples slices, dried fruit or something to put in a small baggie and have in your pocket -- might help the overly long meetings.

I really respect the volunteering. Good work with that!

If you want to lose weight, you need to eat fruits and vegetables. Processed food and fast food is linked to weight gain. Spend less time looking at calories. Low calorie diets are not effective. Eating lots of fruits and vegetables, and avoiding processed food filled (and soda) with acidic chemicals, will rebuild your gut flora, cause your hunger levels to drop.

Looks healthy. One of my favorite on the goal sandwiches is the McD's Grilled Chicken Classic (sans mayo). Another alternative is the same from Chik Fil A. I think its a little better, but don't know how common they are in Minneapolis.

Good deal - the soup kitchen work. Considering the weather up there right now, I'm sure they appreciate the help.

Thanks Greg - yeah no Chik Fil A here that I am aware of. The grilled chicken sandwich seems like a pretty reasonable way to go as long as you don't get the mayo. I'm not saying it's great, but when you find yourself at McDonalds it seems a good way to go.

It's been cold here and the night I worked in the soup kitchen it was about to get colder, so I think they had a full house. It was rewarding to help.

I'm impressed with the helping out. Well done John.

I think I saw a green vegetable on the cover of that box!
