Great idea. I'd sporadically taken a picture of a meal on my blog, just when it was something very balanced and appealing.

I like how you've mixed up little snacks with soup. I always find that I make a sandwich to go with my soup lunch, and that gets really boring.

I love this idea of taking a pic of your food. I have struggled with keeping a food journal but this would definitely work for me. My cell phone, however, is not pic friendly at all. Or maybe it's just not Satia friendly. It's my son's old phone and I simply cannot figure out how to use the darn thing properly. But I have a digital camera so maybe I can get into the habit of taking pics using that. Thank you for the wonderful idea. (And for the product reviews, which I will pass along to my fiance!) I'm glad I stumbled into your blog!

Glad to help, and glad you stumbled across my little place here!

Overall pretty good but it seems like a lot?

I just ran the numbers in Daily Plate and the total was about 1600 calories which is if anything a little light, surprisingly. I normally have a bigger dinner and that's where I usually get in trouble. Yesterday was easy because I was at home alone. When the family is here and I have work, etc is when it is going to be tougher, both just in terms of what I eat but also the mechanics of documentation. But I'm already feel after one day this is a good habit to get into.
