John,

You can't beat yourself up for anything, since just by writing you are trying. Your goal is weight loss, but your real need is to understand your body. Each one is as unique as a fingerprint and they all react differently. How about those times that you lost weight and don't even know why? You'll get there and putting it down on a blog post will help. I'm pulling for you.

Thanks Tom, I appreciate that!

It is rather annoying having to post that you've gained or maintained rather than lost but I think it helps to keep you trying at least.

I think the cool thing is we all got through another week of focus. That is hard enough on its own do you agree? Each week I spend thinking about what I have to do to lose weight is another week well spent, right?

I feel you on how unexciting it is to blog that you didn't lose any weight. Its a necessary exercise to post the good weeks and the not so good weeks though. Any battle is going to have ups and downs. The important thing is that there are more ups!

Yep, that is the goal. Well, down as the scale goes anyway. :-) You make a good point bout posting the negatives as well as the positives - in fact that is why I also knew I had to post a negative review about POM Wonderful - if all you read from me is positive reviews then you really have to question how honest I am being. But if you see the good mixed in with the bad, you would probably more likely assume (correctly!) that I am being honest with my reviews.

Give the candy away... and remember, it's tough to exercise away overeating. Another thing to keep in mind, strength training can, when your muscles are sore, cause you to retain some water. So you may see scale movement yet!

Also, if you are increasing cardio, watch out for the exercise hungries! Do the water, that helps!

Let's make November a good month!

Your tenacity is what inspires me. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Steve. One person's tenacity is another's glutton for punishment. I'm learning a little bit every day even so, that's for sure.
