It gives me hope as well, though I don't personally find it that surprising that a black man could gain the office. I am hoping I live to see a woman do that same thing one day.

It gives me hope. Just a few years ago I was living in Europe and the attitude shift towards Americans the longer GWB was president was so profound. It got to the point where I'd avoid speaking to anyone in public because I never knew who would scream anti American sentiment at me after hearing my accent. I have to say that I'm proud to be an American again. I feel like hope has been restored and for those expats still living abroad I know this victory for our country has them walking a little taller today.

I was watching some political show today and there was a GOP talking ahead complaining about how Obama is already starting to spend on a stimulus package without a plan for raising the money. So now they get a little fiscal responsibility? While Bush is still in the White House? I mean come on…

Okay color me dumb but is Mark Cuban the basketball team owner who was on Dancing with the Stars – because really at the end of the day it is all about Dancing with the Stars. And what about that weight loss and fitness program? Even Marie Osmond dropped a few pounds after her stint on the show. I'll go if you do

I think his intentions and plans for America's future is good. I also feel that you made very good points about how winning this election will influence people on a very positive level. I think he is going to do well and I also support him as our new president and I am proud to be an American also.

It will be a very interesting first year, that is for sure.

I was really pleased for America that Obama won. Now you guys can get back your reputation for being number 1.

I would like to think that this will go a long way toward helping. But you never know, certainly someone will find a way to spin it in the wrong way.
