Thank you for considering me a legend, LOL, this past month has been so hard, I feel like I am treading wet concrete. But it's a struggle that we are all in and I have always found tons of great stuff on your blog. Thanks for writing so much great stuff!

Anyone managing to lose weight and keep going with it is a hero. I'm in the middle of back sliding. I blame it on stress with my job but I know it's still me making choices. So good for you and keep going. :)

I read Pasta Queen and Tony regularly and will be checking out Dietgirl and Just a Mom soon. The only problem with finding so many great blogs is keeping up with them all!

Thanks for this collection of legends!
Where the hell is Barbie, is one of my great inspirations. She lost 245 pounds and reading about how she still struggles makes me feel so normal!

PQ is hilarious! I looooove her blog!

And I'll definitely have to check out some of the others you mentioned. As for legends, I don't really have any. Nobody that I know in real life has weight issues. I guess I'm proud of myself and of my 50 lbs lost...if that counts for anything...but I definitely am not a legend, hahaha :)

Great post John. Pasta Queen is definetly up there for me. When i'm having a bad day, I like to visit the sparkpeople motivators that have had success in this journey.

Great post John. You list people who have taken control of their lives and have pressed forward- and that is the stuff of legend. I, too, look to them (and you and a few others like Skinny Guy, for example) for inspiration.

My hat's off to all who are making the effort and I wish you the best.

You write about some of the greats out there. But, I want to echo your sentiments on Tony. In his comment to this post you see the honesty, transparency and integrity that I respect in Tony. He is my inspiration when things get tough, or when I get down on myself.

We should print T-shirts.... WWTD?(What would Tony do?)

I'm not feeling much like a legend this week, but thank you.

Thanks too for introducing me to some new inspirations.

And a belated congrats on reaching the 2 mile mark. You'll be amazed at how easy it easy to run that first mile now that you have gotten over the psychological hump.

Keep up the great work.

Oh man, Dietgirl and Pasta Queen are absolutely two of my very favorites, too! Those are definitely two women who can write up a storm, posting things that anyone on this road can relate to.

You've got two of my favorites up already: Pasta Queen and Diet Girl. I had the good fortune to be seated with them at a BlogHer luncheon last year, and they were both incredibly kind and funny women. I plan to buy both their books for offline reading.

My daily inspiration is Moon. (http://marathonmoon.blogspot.com) In addition to being a personal friend, Moon is remarkably dedicated and determined, and I'm blown away by her accomplishments. Last year she set a goal of running a marathon and she saw that goal realized just last week. In style, too, I might add. An amazing young woman with a bright and shining future ahead of her.
