That's a fair question Michelle, and totally on topic. If I recall on Sunday night I crashed early, I believe I was asleep by 9:00. So that's almost 7 hours. I would say I average 6-7 hours per night with the occasional bad night like Tuesday actually when I got home from Chicago at 1:00am, watched TV until 2:00 and then had to get up at 5:00 to go to work.

The thing with me is when I want to get to sleep I can fall asleep in less than 60 seconds. It's weird and it really bugs my wife.

Now believe it or not but my sleep habits are actually WAY better than they were a couple of years ago before I kicked the caffeinated coffee habit. I easily averaged 4-5 hours a night for many years.

I never sleep in. When I'm up, I am up - regardless of what time it is.

Should I be getting even more sleep? Perhaps. But it is what it is.

Probably off on a tangent....but....

I have to ask....when do you go to bed? If I don't get to bed by 9:30pm, I can never get up for my 4:30am alarm clock. Do you sleep enough? How do you do it?

Sleep does allow your body to heal...

We all have setbacks, just brush it off and get back on. Keep up the good work!

Hi John, sorry to hear about the wipe out, but it was your first time out of the season, you'll get your legs back (if you haven't already by the time you read this).

I hear what you're saying about making adjustments in your thinking.....I believe you can do it. Every day adds up and it sounds like you're very aware of what you're doing, no matter what direction you're going. As long as you stay honest with yourself like you are, you'll know what to do. ;)

Everybody makes mistakes in their life. You've already recognised that you made the mistakes which is a good thing.

Your doing great! In the big picture of things, you have made more positive decisions than negative ones and it shows

You're doing great, man. It looks like you've already lost over 10% of your body weight! (this is my first time on your site.) That's a great accomplishment. You're on your way to even greater things. :)

I think it's more difficult losing weight in the winter also - I always want to eat a lot more heavy, comfort foods when it's cold.

The one and only time I went skiing, I ended up going down the run, waving my hands in the air saying, "Get out of my way." It's funny now, but at the time, it was scary...........................:)

When trying to lose weight, everyone has setbacks, so keeping the big picture in mind is the most important.

Keep up the good work.
