- Total weight lost: 28 lbs
My goal for November was to lose 6 pounds and I am very pleased to say I hit that mark exactly, despite a harried travel schedule. I think it is very likely that I actually gained a couple of pounds this week because I wasn’t as good this week as I was the previous week in Paris, but I have no way of measuring that accurately so this will need to do. I achieved my goal and I am happy with that.
Things I did well this week:
- I did another 3 mile run in Paris on Monday.
- I had fun in Europe and didn’t act like I was on a diet. Which I really wasn’t.
- I successfully completed NaBloPoMo 2007.
Things I did not so well this week:
- I could write an entire list of things I did poorly as compared to my normal schedule (no strength training, minimal cardio, etc) but really everything I did I wouldn’t take back because this was a unique opportunity and I shouldn’t be too hard on myself for straying. The only time in 10 days in Europe that I was really bad was at the Tollwood Music Festivalwhere I really ate way too much, but again that was a unique opportunity so I am not going to chide myself for it.
This is what I wrote in my update a couple of weeks ago before I left on my trip:
I hesitate to look ahead (one day at a time should be my mantra) but my hope is that I come back at 267, then have a good week at home and shave another pound or two to get myself firmly entrenched into the 260s. Then I’ll be ready to swear off the 270s and admit to myself that this is working.
I’ve managed to accomplish the coming back at 267 part, now to focus on keeping the scale moving in the right direction. I’m shooting for another 6 pound loss this month, which like for everyone else will be a challenge because of the holidays.
But I feel like I have come back focused to make a run at it.
