Think of the cost man....what is it $10 for a tiny bottle.

I'd go for the no key approach and disconnect the phone, that way if you really, really want it you'd have to go down and look someone in the eye and ask for it.

Shame is a good deterrent :)

Good luck John! I found your site by the Weblog awards and am really enjoying it. You'll have to report to us whether you conquered the key!

Personally, I don't put much stock in will-power. For me, it's a set up for failure. If I manage to get through a challenge on will-power, I get a false sense of security and I think I can just will myself through any situation. However, success in one test does not make the next test any easier.

A wise person once told me that the best of people will do the worst of things, given the right circumstances. With that in mind, I try to take every opportunity to avoid situations that test my will-power. Certainly, I cannot avoid every test. When they come, I try to stack things in my favor rather than tackle them head on.

My 2 cents is that 1) don't get the key, and 2) find something you can do away from the temptation of getting that key until you are too tired to do anything but sleep. (e.g. go to a bookstore or the movies or a sports game, even a local high school game, etc...)

Whatever you choose to do, I hope it works out.
