Thanks all for your comments. I just found out my medical insurance is going to be switching and I haven't yet figured out if I'll be able to keep the same doctor. I sure hope so.

Also, I just realized that in the glow of all the positive stuff I totally forgot to ask him about this thing I have on my wrist, which I believe to be a volar wrist ganglion. It's not really painful and doesn't get in the way of anything so I doubt he would have suggested surgery, but still, I wanted to talk to him about it.

Darn it!

Hi John, that's really great. I'm happy to hear how positive your experience at the doc was, and that you're actually looking forward to getting your blood work results. You know, no matter how they are right now, they'll give you something to compare with the next time you go in. Keep up the great work! :)

That sounds like a good solid plan. Not one that is so hard to accomplish that you are setting yourself up for failure. I think it is always good to go to the doctor with a clean conscience about the way you have been treating your body.

When I went to the doctor and he saw that I had lost some weight he came in and said "well if it isn't the incredible shrinking Sarah". I will never forget how good that made me feel and like you, the tone of that appointment was different than any other appointment I had ever had.

Well done!

I have checkups every 3 months due to my diabetes and my doc has been watching my numbers move back where they're supposed to be and neither one of us could be happier. I'm glad that you're having success with your numbers as well. Keep it going!

Good news, John. I'm glad you had a good week! I'll be sending you positive Halloween vibes--it's going to be a rough one all around--but I think we can all hang tough. Good luck.

Doesn't it feel good to get a positive response from the doctor? I'm hoping that when I go back in the spring the same thing will happen for me.
