"I have to stick to none and that’s what I am going to do."....if you're addicted to sugar (can't stop with just one), that's the way to go. I did an experiment on myself and not only eliminated refined sugar, but also sugar alcohols and foods high in natural sugar (raisins, oranges, larabars)...the result was that I didn't have physical cravings for sugar (emotional yes, physical no). When I'm eating like this my mind is clear and I'm very focused.

Also, I avoid white flour, among other addictive foods/ingredients. ;)

I've never heard of the sugar hangover, but I know exactly what you are talking about! Good term to know!I'm such a candy freak, I can't buy candy until the day I'm giving it away. I love black licorice... good n plenty is on my black list this year. I don't dare have that in the house. I know, where is the control. It's out the door when it comes to candy in my house.

ISn't it amazing how eating poorly the night before can effect your whole day?! My daughter made me cupcakes the other night and I foresaw my future malaise, but I still indulged to make her happy.

I am a licorice fan as well!
I am definitely hard wired to overeat candy...just can't say no. I will even eat the gross candy if I am desperate enough.

Sugar hangover would be the proper name for it. The reason I do it, or better said the reason I don't think about not doing it, is that I never seem to put the two together until the morning. At least with drinking you can joke about what you know is coming. I never remember it with sugar. At least I didn't used to. Writing about it is helping.

I call this the sugar hangover. I'm not sure why we do this to ourselves when we know it will make us feel like crap. I guess its the same reason why people get drunk over and over again knowing the will be hungover the next morning.

I have Halloween candy in the refrigerator in the garage, out of my sight and mind but that darn stuff screams out to me some days LOL.

I cant have candy in the house. Whether it is a treat, halloween, christmas or whatever. I figure it doesnt hurt the kids to go without, they get it at other peoples houses. I dont think my son is going to like me much this christmas though!!!!

And yeah I feel like that after a binge too, its just not worth it.
