Thanks all! I am still planning to stick to the treadmill as I advanced through the 5k program, certainly because winter is coming up and running in Minnesota in the winter is something I am not ready for yet (although I used to do it 100 pounds ago). But every once in a while I will take a measure of where I am at by getting outside. This outdoor run told me I am certainly ready to officially step up to week 2 on the couch to 5k program.

GREAT JOB on the run! I used to dread running in public but at some point you just have to say "this is about ME not anybody else" and bite the bullet. Good for you! It sounds like you had a really fun time which is so important.

Amazing! You sound so upbeat after such a workout. I started the couch to 5K this week and I'm telling ya, I felt like my lungs were going to explode after a minute of running. I can walk just fine. I probably walk faster than I run lol

You keep it up at this rate and you'll be melting away to your goal in no time!
