- Total weight lost: 12 lbs
I backed up my 4 pound loss for last week with a 3 pound loss for this week and it feels great. It is such a terrific feeling to be rewarded for the hard work I am putting in. I know there will be weeks where I do everything right and stay stable or even gain weight, so it's important for me to remember how good this feels and to not get too down on myself when the results don't get there. It's all about making good decisions!
Things I did well this week:
- Followed my strength training program every day for the fourth straight week.
- Continued to follow my new cardio program.
- Started to set some weight loss goals and milestones.
- No major food binges of any kind
Things I did not so well this week:
- I did start drinking more water and most days I think I actually drank my fair share. But I haven't been keeping track so I don't know for sure. Need to start recording this.
- I was at a party and had 3 beers, which I guess wasn't terrible in itself, and I grazed a little too much on appetizers like rumaki and other finger food - not to the point of stuffing myself but a little more than I should have.
My goal for weight loss in September is a total of 8 pounds and a 3 pound loss in the first week is a great start to achieving it. I'll need to stay focused and committed, however, to ensure I get myself into the 270s for the first time in awhile. I can do it!
