Identifying My Weaknesses

August 11, 2007 · 4 comments

I don’t think Jason Calacanis was the original fatblogger, but I think it may have been from him where I first heard the term.  I’m jealous because he’s at my goal weight of 185 right now.  He writes about 4 things he has learned about losing weight and as I am just starting out I find myself right in touch with his step one - Learn your weaknesses when it comes to food.

When I am not focused I have a ton of weaknesses, fast food no doubt being at the top.  Actually, it’s worse than that - double portions of fast food.  But I have found that just by forcing myself to record what I eat and writing about things here I have been making better decisions.

But almost every day this week I made good decisions in the morning and in the afternoon, only to be done in at dinner time and later.  Night time is my weakness and I have to find a way to fight it.

Blogging about it is a good start, knowing your enemy is half the battle.

I hear ya! Fast food has been a staple on our menu because it seems like I lived in our minivan during the sports season.

That really is a great article!
